Goge!! This is the response from the Netherlands Consulate, it states that he will do every thing that he can to help and he also state's that he is a big football lover too.

I think they have the right person that can help them. What do you think? He is the Honorary consul of the Netherlands here in Phoenix.

It shows that they are really working on it I now. It is going to Happen.

Hallo Will, I'm one of the team-coordinators and player as well. Thanks for the answer and the positve spirit. We are also disappointed from the team - as we are already were preparing - and especially Stephan was a very good 'ambassador' for the trip to Arizona. But there will be another chance - as you said. Keep well and a good weekend.

With 9 new "rookies" this year we must establish the post game cooler etiquette.
1. BUY THE BEER BEFORE SUNDAY.......AZ DOES NOT SELL BEER ON SUNDAYS BEFORE 10 AM. THIS DOES NOTHING BUT DELAY & FRUSTRATE THOSE WHO MAKE THE 8 & 10 AM MATCHES.
2. PUT ICE IN THE COOLER.........
3. NO BEER WITH THE WORDS "LITE" OR "BORN-ON" OR ANY DOMESTIC OTHER THAN MICROBREWS WILL BE CONSUMED BY THE SANDDRAGONS. TO SAVE YOURSELF A SECOND TRIP TO THE STORE PLEASE MEMORIZE THIS ONE.
4. IF SOME UNFORSEEN & UNPREVENTABLE CIRCUMSTANCE PREVENTS YOU FROM MAKING THE GAME THE WEEK YOU HAVE THE BEER COOLER YOU MUST MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE COOLER TO MAKE IT TO THE GAME FULLY EQUIPPED.

- ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK AL ROMERO.
( his dad brought the cooler the week al missed his flight )
these are simple rules

Love to play you when the weather is a little cooler (not an excuse for missing all the sitters) I think we could give you a better game. Thanks again, I had a great time.

Subject: Payson Tournament
Date: Mon, 7 Jul 2003

Guys,
I just want to congratulate the SDFC Tournament team for doing so well last weekend in Payson. This is the third time our young club has done well in a tournament, the others being 2002 Grand Canyon State Games - Bronze Medal, Cactus Cup 2003 - only one loss and now Payson 2003 where we would have been in the championship game were it not for circumstances beyond our control with other teams.  Last year Payson was one of our first tournaments and we finished near the bottom, having player injury issues and not being able to keep a full squad on the field.  But we learned and returned this year to give a good run at the title.
This year Payson lead the way into the championship game with the most points, Arsenal was second with 32,
SDFC was third with 31 and the Incinerators last in line for a Sunday game with 28 points.  I feel sure it was ours to win if we had played in the Championship game as we had beaten Payson 3-1 in the opener and tied the Arsenal team 0-0 in one of our best (tournament) games ever as a club.  Our success was due totally to good player participation and Kiko dedicating his time to coach and only play where he had to go in for an injury.  A good number of fans on the sidelines helped too.  With every tournament we learn and improve.  I am personally looking forward to Europe and the next Payson Tournament.  Thanks to all that game their time and money to be there on a holiday weekend.
Will

Our Dear hosting Progomphus Obscurus' aka Sanddragons more commonly known as "dragonflies", What lovely team banter, it seems that the time spent away from your preferred climate has filled your heads with flights of fantasy. As would be expected, the intense Arizona heat has caused side effects such as delusion of grandeur (as your well-documented average size is 2 inches http://www.rlephoto.com/odes/common_sanddragon01.htm ), misconception (Californians are all gay...) and underestimation (that you will score at all) ...albeit, these ideas may seem very convincing to your masses in their heat-induced-hysteria...not to worry...There is still hope for you next year when you visit us. You see, we have a much more moderate temperature here in the SF Bay Area- much more suited to your preferred climate. This climate will surely "clear" your head and allow you to, then, appreciate the awesome spectacle of our defense blasting shot after shot past your keeper on our home field; and it may even provide you reflective appreciation of our mercy in our bewildering defeat of you on your home dirt-lot. > As far as the wager, I suggest a large Cup (trophy cup) be made with the proceeds of a donation of $10 from each player and the winner takes home the Trophy which should be adorned/filled with the loosing teams captain's jersey signed by all the loosing squad...as a suggestion, you might want to buy white jerseys so we can read your signatures...:) > >Peace and do get some rest...in the shade would be best. > >Shane - aka: Flyswatter >Striker > >P.s. This was a great idea!

Goge, I'll be there, sounds like alot of fun, I have a responsibility now, we have to beat these guys, I don't want to see you and Geordie, holding hands all day. We have a reputation to hold the next season :) By the way I'm not surprised about that holding hands thing as a wager coming from a Californian team... Kiko

Goge, Can you believe the crap coming from this miserable lot. That's it, I've had enough. There'll be no letting up. We'll put 20 past them, and then finish them off in the second half. Please post their ridiculous comments in our locker room and on our Website. Malc, We'll also have the Dragon Army on the sidelines, ready and waiting. Geordie -

That's no wager.. They like to holding hands anyway... The sensitive one.

From: Ropinder Sidhu
I have an idea for a wager. Should we lose Mehmet and Malcolm will hold hands for the rest of the day. Should we win Goge and Geordie hold hands. We could call it the 'friendly' cup. Rup ---

Malcolm Hassall
Geordie, I'm still trying to think of a suitable wager. I have absolutely no doubt that we will beat you no matter the age difference or the conditions. How about, after the game, which we will win, you and I watch the Newcastle v Man Utd match from St. James this season ( I have it on > tape) > with the lads, and for the entire game you buy me as much beer as I can consume and you get to wear a shirt of my choice. If by chance you have paid off the ref, then I'll by you a pint. Malc

Goge, I practiced with the Alameda lads last night and we discussed the August 8th trip to Phoenix. Malcolm has 18 signed up for the trip, I even saw him collecting payments last night. So we're definitely on...... We'll need a field for the match. The Alameda lads arrive Friday night. We should play the match EARLY Saturday morning (Anything after 9am is going to be unbearable for > them). Also, how about putting this event on our Website ? More info to follow.....Geordie > > > >p.s. I told them to bring a White Flag so we'll know when to ease up.

To Will and all the Boys: This is Nick. I just wanted to thank you all for a great season. It was a hard adjustment to move here, especially for a short time, and playing soccer with everyone made it a lot easier. So thanks for you friendship both on and off the pitch and for an overall great time. I will be at practice on Wednesday, however I will be about a 1/2 hour late. I will stay for a drink, or two, so I hope to see you all there. If I don't get to see you good luck in the rest of the matches, play hard and lets all bring home a championship. If I'm ever in the area again I will be sure to look you all up, and if you ever come across me as I work for a professional team in the future drop me a line.
Cheers, Nick
