Test you're skill lads............

Click on the game button above ta tist yer skil me buy.

I understand there is some "CHAP" going around trying to convince you lads not to bring or drink beer after the matches.

THIS IS WRONG. I am leading the coalition against bad advice.

A lesson in history.... When I first joined the club which birthed the players that founded SDFC I brought an old tradition from the land of smart thinking....California. The tradition is this. Each team in the club. (Our club in California now has 4 teams in it's club also. (2 of it's members also play with the Dragons)) Each team in the club shall purchase or have donated 1 large cooler.

Each week a different team member (different from the last week ya wanker) shall fill said cooler with beer. Yes, and a few sodas, water or other mild libations. This beer shall be of the finest quality and not of the land of the macro brew. No bud, no light beers. Good micro brews, imports, ale's, porters, clear beer, Mexican ok...just none of the couch potato, NFL/Baseball watching nasty soap tasting beer like you drank in college cause you were too cheap to buy good beer...beer.

Once with my old club in California, one of the new guys mistakenly included a six-pack of bud light (yuuuhhhhhrrrrgggghhh_) it was passed on from week to week with no one brave (or dumb) enough to relieve the cooler of its bad taste. (of course many believed it served as a bad reminder to those who may think near beer is tolerable) The entire 28 week season passed and those 6 beers ended being nothing more than bad decoration.

Where was I going with this....oh yes.

TRADITION.

My friends tradition is something worth holding on to and a beer after a match with the lads is something to hold on to Win...Lose...or Draw.... It's important too. If you don't stick around after the match to have a beer with your team you might as well join the sewing circle.

Get a life....Drink beer......Spend a moment with the lads after the game........and join us at the pub for dinner.........and of course.............................................a few more beers.

As a former rugby player who is well aware of the after match beer tradition, I have to agree w/tradition. Nothing bring a club together like an after match beer. Trust me on this, you will play harder w/ a group of guys you drink with and/or know on a social level. Although I will not be there, I will be disappointed in those of you who can't share a libation w/ the fellas that sweated with you on the pitch of battle. After the win, and all the Sand Dragon teams will win this week, have at least 1 beer w/ your teammates. And if you are on the wagon or chose not to have a beer, at least stay for a little while. You really need to stay & hear Kiko tell us what a great game he had. If Will does not score this week he owes the 1st round @ the pub. And if Goge let's a ball in the net he will wash Kiko's car for a month. Sorry Will & Kiko, but the gauntlet has been dropped. Hope you like how I kept myself out of this bet. -Ed

Not bringing and partaking of beer with the boys after a hard fought game is...well...a little like admitting you are a skirt wearing, white wine drinker, who has no sense of honor and committment to the team. All hail these words of wisdom. And for those of you who think having a beer after the game is a bad thing...PISS-OFF. As far as going to the pub after...Those people that were going to make it to the British Open, will make it regardless of whether or not they have one beer at the field or not...Scott

I'll drink to that.
-Tom

I belive that the very reason this is being even mentioned is that come Sunday evening we seem to have the same 8 guys at the British Open our sponsers for this season but not guaranteed to be our sponsers next year. We really do need to support the pub and also I for one would like to know of all our teams scores and talk to people about there games too. In short i wholeheartedly support the move for socialising after our games, I however feel very disscriminated against due to the fact that I have yet to see a cider in the cooler, laugh you very well may but it has caused deep traumatic stress in my life, so much so that I have thought about going on the Dr Phil show to express my feelings in the hope that he might be able to help me over my feelings that my team mates just quite simply do not care. I do admit that a good cider is not as easy to find as a good beer but A.js Bashas and Papago Brewery sell Dry Blackthorn and K Cider, there are also plenty of American ciders like hard core, hornsbys and woodchuck, whilst none of these are as good as the English ciders they would be a whole lot better than Beer and would be greatly appreciated. Consideration is the word. Cheers Andrew

But whatever you do, don't buy Andy a Woodpecker cider, he will clock ya.

Greetings,
All I have to say is that we played good, you gotta play good, and I think we played pretty good. Oh I forgot, you play better if you hang out as a group, so I will back up Goge like everybody else. HAVE A FRIGGIN BEER AND CUT THE CRAP OR BULLSHIT, OR WHATEVER.

Kiko the best player of the league, thank you ED for noticing.

PS: once again, All I have to say is that we played good, you gotta play good, and I think we played pretty good. Where is my beer, Goge let me know when you want to wash my car. My prediction for this weekend: Sanddragons - IncinerafearsL: 4 - 1
That's all folks,
Kiko
